Site description

Day Island Wall is a natural sandstone-and-clay bluff at the south end of the Tacoma Narrows, where the same swift currents that carved the Narrows have cut the wall's ledges and fissures — cavities now packed with enough wolf eels and giant Pacific octopuses that divers have logged a dozen or more wolf eels in a single pass. The main face runs roughly 50 to 110 feet, with a lesser-known second wall continuing to about 140 feet further south. Access is a narrow public corridor through an otherwise private residential island — and the current that shaped the wall is exactly why this is a slack-water-only, advanced dive.

Not a navigational chart. Positions are drawn illustratively from pnwdiving.com's site briefing over a real satellite still (Web Mercator, true scale) — good for orientation and dive-brief planning, not for plotting a GPS track. Features move; confirm on site.
